A super cute hooded bunny snowsuit with little ears and buttons down the front, made to be a cozy piece that could become a family heirloom and be passed down for years to come.
The Story
This was the first wearable I ever made, and of course I had to make it for my daughter. My original plan was for her to wear it during the winter, but by the time I finally finished it, winter had come and gone and we were already heading into spring. Even though the timing wasn’t exactly what I planned, seeing her in something I made with my own hands was such a special feeling.
CHNKY Note
This project taught me the importance of checking gauge before starting a project. I didn’t gauge this one correctly, so it ended up being a little bigger than expected. I also had way too much fun picking out the buttons and even made a voting form for my family to help me decide. It was a small detail, but it made the finished piece feel even more personal.
